Named after the large elegant Whitewood tree that shadows the entrance and the breathtaking views of Phillip Island, our beautifully appointed modern house was purposefully built around the view.
Literally a home away from home for your Norfolk Island holidays, Whitewood Sea is located in the coveted area of Bumboras, it’s a simple 5 – 15 drive to all the attractions of the island.
Explore the beachy side of Norfolk Island. Whitewood Sea is walking distance to the intimate Bumboras beach, one of the locals favourite surf spots. Or take a 5 minute drive down Country Road and through the KAHVA Kingston World Heritage listed area to the best swimming beach on Norfolk. With less than a 25m swim you can start to see the wonderful coral reefs and underwater world through crystal clear waters.
Norfolk Island is steeped in history and the Georgian buildings of Kingston will instantly set you back in time. Days can be consumed in the four Norfolk Island Museums learning about Norfolk’s fascinating past.
Serene nature walks are also just around the corner at 100 Acres Reserve. The entrance to the coastal walk is spectacular especially in the morning when with light dapples through the huge commanding and majestic fig trees which lead the way to the reserve entrance.
But what’s a Norfolk holiday without good food? Popular with locals and visitors alike, Homestead is a relaxed restaurant set in a restored island homestead offering authentic and delicious food. The Homestead is less than 5 minutes drive from Whitewood Sea. Or take out Whitewood’s picnic basket with wine cooler and rug at sunset to one of our islands many awe-inspiring viewpoints.
