Less than 5 minutes drive from Whitewood Sea is The Homestead. Set in a 1930’s island home, The Homestead is one of Norfolk’s most popular restaurants. Kurt and Jill Menghetti pair simple ingredients with the elemental technique of cooking over embers to intensify and develop the depth of flavour of the seasonal local produce, meat and seafood found on the island. At the heart of the kitchen is the wood fueled Argentinian Perilla grill engineered by Kurt’s Dad. The Homestead embraces the farm to plate philosophy as well as sourcing line caught fish from Norfolk’s clean wild waters.
